It's a funny old thing, we introduce species, often with no preditors and we then arrive at a situation a few years later where there are real problems.

Management was in the woodland yesterday and noticed how much damage the deer do.

By coincidence the news this morning was flagging up deer as a problem too.

Yesterday surrounded by vegitarians the solution was to her as obvious as it was unpalatable to them.

Put Bambiburgers on the menu at McD's it's what our ancestors did so why don't we??

Yes, I've thought that for years. I mean, why on earth do the big estates see a surplus of deer as a problem rather than an opportunity? Seel shooting rights to toffs for £500 a day, and sell the carcases to the venison factories for £100 each (figures purely illustrative), with almost no costs. So what shall we do? Pay people to cull them, of course!
