I can hear the rain....

The weather has turned all weathery, the wind is driving rain into the velux in my bedroom .

Big drops arrive in waves and break on the glass, it's very elemental and nice.

The fire has pushed the living room to 26 C I doubt if it will stay in overnight.

The student has done lots of work and awareded herself a couple of hours of telly on the computer.

Since the building work started the aerial has been down and there has been no telly at all. Except that which comes down the phone line. Lets remind ourselves this is rural west wales and connection to the exchange falls short of good as the wire is old and multi connectioned. On top of that we are a few miles away in the first place.

With a few glitches around rugby matches we have not really had any grief at all.

The kids could manage fine without the telly at all.

Of course they are finishing off now and soon we will have the aerial back up again.

I will be sad about that.

The rain hammers against my window, it could be a long night.
